Acceptable Samples

Preparing samples

The sample types accepted and volume required varies by the platform and testing requested, but serum and plasma and the most common. For many assays, the required volume ranges 50µL to 150µL. Contact client services for exact volumes, particularly if you require testing on multiple platforms.

 

For some platforms, we can also test cerebrospinal fluid, urine, tissue culture supernatants, bronchoalveolar lavage, synovial fluid, tissue extracts, tears, skin washings, etc.

Sample Collection, Handling & Shipping Guidelines

 

To process your samples, our lab must receive a completed sample submission form with your shipment. Once you have reviewed the guidance, please complete a sample submission form.

IQVIA Laboratories Protein Biomarkers operates under a comprehensive Quality Management System and maintains compliance with applicable GLP and GCP standards. Selected assay platforms (including Luminex, Simoa, and MSD) are performed within the CLIA certified laboratory in accordance with CLIA regulatory requirements. Additional platforms are offered to support research and exploratory applications and are conducted using approved standard operating procedures, defined controls, and quality oversight consistent with their intended use.
