Researchers are actively looking for alternatives to using animals (including non-human primates). This poster highlights the development of cost-effective NHP in vitro assays with predictive value for the assessment of unwanted immunogenicity as well as the functionality of drug candidates. IQVIA Laboratories In Vitro Immunology team developed custom in vitro assays based on cynomolgus monkey PBMCs, determining that assay optimization and portfolio expansion can improve drug candidate screening capacity and lower NHP material needs in pre-clinical testing.
